What does Error #5002 mean when booting from floppy disk?

Error #5002 indicates a disk read problem. It appears if the BIOS read function (used for booting) reports a read error. In most cases the problem can be solved by creating the floppy again. If this does not help, the used floppy disk should be replaced by a new, unused one. If it still does not work, use another floppy drive for creating the floppy or ensure that the floppy drive the floppy is created in is the same as where it is booted from. In either case, disk images and media delivered by Miray Software are tested for being bootable. Thus it is very likely that the problem is system specific rather than being a general problem.

What does Error #5002 mean when booting from CD/DVD?

Error #5002 indicates a disk read problem. It appears if the BIOS read function (used for booting) reports a read error. The cause may be a translation problem, as the CD/DVD simulates a floppy or hard disk layout. A translation problem may originate in the CD/DVD creation software used, the BIOS of the used PC or the CD/DVD drive. In either case, disk images and media delivered by Miray Software are tested for being bootable. Thus it is very likely that the problem is system specific rather than being a general problem.
